2024#09 | I always keep my head down

Unknowingly, it's already March. I haven't done anything, and there haven't been any changes. It's quite sigh-inducing.

Weekend Outing#

This week is still work as usual, nothing special. It should be warmer this weekend, so I should go out and see if there's anything interesting to write about. Ever since I forced myself to write a blog every week, it has pushed me to constantly look for interesting things around me. The longer I live, the more I understand what "fate is within the cone of light" means. Forcing myself to write a weekly diary has actually made life more interesting.

This issue has relatively more heavy content, as I couldn't find anything interesting to write about. The only relaxing and pleasant thing is this photo, where the trees on the street are wearing strange clothes.

Anime Money is Easy to Scam#

The collaboration between KFC and the spy game is so big!

Didn't get a DQ Hatsune Miku, but got an Anya from KFC. The size of her face makes me suspect that the client made a mistake with the measurements. The material feels good and comfortable to touch.

And the food is not cost-effective at all, but the rotating bucket is quite fun.

Stray Cat#

When I went out shopping, I saw a stray cat.

Meow, the cherry blossoms are blooming in my hometown, meow

Although it looks like a stray cat, the treatment of stray cats in small scenic areas is not comparable to those outside. The stray cat just sat there, and within 5 minutes, it was surrounded by more than 80 people. It won't starve to death. (The importance of core assets in prime locations)

The Three Evils in Zhou Chu#

The reason I went to see this movie was mainly because I heard that the film was "so explicit that it disregarded the broadcasting and television regulations" and "official release required cuts due to complaints from the audience." However, it turned out to be just a rumor, and the official release was cut to remove the flag of the Republic of China.

Actually, after watching the whole movie, I felt that it wasn't very smooth. The criminal history of "Chen Guilin" can be divided into two stages. The first stage was when "Chen Guilin" was young. He blew up people while collecting debts and killed the second-in-command at a funeral. He escaped the police pursuit by relying on brute force. Chen Guilin laughed at the sky, full of spirit. He killed one person every five steps and traveled a thousand miles without leaving a trace.

The second stage was when he survived in the sewers. He thought he had terminal lung cancer and was ready to surrender. However, he found out that he had to queue up even to surrender, and even if he reported his name, no one knew him. He also saw the wanted list of the entire Taiwan at the police station, and he was only ranked third! He decided to do something big, something that would go down in history.

He wanted to be number one!

How could he become number one? Since the previous stage no longer existed, he would replace it himself! What an inspiring movie!!

In the second stage, the second-ranked Hong Kong guy, umm, there's a character named Cheng Xiaomei, and it feels like this character has many metaphors. Because her mother went to jail instead of the Hong Kong guy, she ended up being controlled by the Hong Kong guy. When Chen Guilin was monitoring the Hong Kong guy, the Hong Kong guy also noticed him, but he thought that Guilin came for Xiaomei. However, when he realized that he might have been exposed and was about to leave, he planned to rape Xiaomei again before leaving. But then Guilin arrived.

Xiaomei!

After a series of Taiwanese-style violent fights, Guilin returned to the hair salon to rescue Xiaomei and took her to the beach. Taiwan is still good, there's a beach everywhere. The scene here is undoubtedly a version of "Fireworks" that I watched a few days ago, directed by Takeshi Kitano. Xiaomei said that the Hong Kong guy saved her mother from another man, so her mother was willing to go to jail for the Hong Kong guy, and she wanted the whole world to know that the poison was hers. At this moment, there is also an implied meaning. Xiaomei thanked Guilin for saving her from the Hong Kong guy, and she would be willing to do the same.

Guilin just wanted to be number one. His ending would definitely be tragic, and she was innocent, so he left the car to Xiaomei and said, "You are free now, and then you tell others that I did all this."

This is actually a road movie. The second-ranked guy is no longer there, and now it's time to find the first-ranked guy, Niu Tou.

In the third stage, Niu Tou looks like a cult from head to toe. The cult leader said that the Niu Tou he was looking for had died a long time ago. When Guilin heard this, he fell into emptiness. What's worse, he was poisoned and started coughing up black blood (I really want to know what kind of poison can cause this effect). He thought he didn't have much time left and was "enlightened" to join the cult. Then he saw the cult using the same method to poison and manipulate new followers. Then he found the basement and Niu Tou's grave, and discovered the truth. The "master" was Niu Tou.

Next is the Taiwanese-style violence aesthetic. This execution has a strong religious meaning and is the most enjoyable execution in the whole movie. The cult believers sing "Newly Created People," and Guilin carries a gun that easily jams and carries out a one-sided massacre. When watching this scene, I thought of the tragic case of the "People's Temple" that I had seen before. Cults are harmful, and I remember that the prime minister of Japan was also assassinated because of his connection with a cult. Taiwan has also had games about cults in recent years. I remember playing "Detention" and "Devotion" a couple of years ago, which were also about cults. When it comes to mentioning cults in mainland China, the first thing that comes to mind should be "Falun Gong" and the "Almighty God" cult that appeared some time ago. However, the crackdown on these cults in China has been quite severe, and there haven't been many news about these cults, mostly from abroad. It wouldn't be excessive to give each cult member a peanut. From beginning to end, Guilin killed either the underworld or drug lords and cult leaders. In fact, he didn't do much bad things. Speaking of which, the shooting incident in Taiwan was so outrageous. They found an abandoned house and lay on a mat to be shot. It's too outrageous.

I can sing it now

But the ending gunshot sound is exactly the same as "Fireworks," the tone, the music, all paying tribute to Takeshi Kitano.

Actually, this movie has a slight similarity to "Pegasus" released during the Spring Festival. Young Guilin is fearless, going to other people's territories to kill the leaders, escaping from the police pursuit. But as he enters middle age, he starts to feel anxious. He is only third place, and even when he goes to the police station to surrender, the young police officer doesn't recognize him. He's about to die and has no reputation. Middle-aged anxiety arises, coinciding with Zhang Zhi's humble middle-aged anxiety. So now movies are driven by middle-aged anxiety, right?

Overall, it's okay, but not as amazing as it was hyped up to be on the internet.

King, Don't Panic#

This team seems to be a group of comedians. Watching it feels like watching a comedy duo. Each episode is about ten minutes long, only suitable for watching while eating, but it's easy to burst out laughing.

The art direction is quite detailed, but it also feels low-cost. It gives a feeling of a sequel to "Never Expected" and "Report to the Boss." It seems that light comedies are never short of talent.

The inspiration for this drama may be Ma Boyong's book "Tai Bai Jin Xing Is Annoying" from last year. The immortal world is a huge theater troupe, and the immortals who pass the exam are all unreliable. The protagonist, the panda spirit, is selected as an undercover agent in Flower Neck Mountain. Under the over-interpretation of the military adviser, Mole Master, the panda spirit is mistakenly recognized as the king. The revival of Flower Neck Mountain falls on this undercover agent.

The final scene where he persuades Sun Wukong using emotions, making Wukong think of Flower Fruit Mountain, is actually reasonable. Looking at Journey to the West from the perspective of the Mountain King is quite interesting.

This drama is short, simple, and funny. That's enough. I originally thought that the panda spirit's fence technique would be used to block Sun Wukong's attack, and the fence technique would protect all his friends. How inspiring that would be! But thinking about it, Sun Wukong's combat power is too strong, and the panda spirit wouldn't be able to stop him. So the plot is that Wukong watches him and waits for him to run out of energy.

And I thought the panda spirit would say, "I am a national treasure! How dare you hit me!"

Ponzi Scheme#

Bitcoin has reached a new high recently, and a news article from many years ago has resurfaced.

image

I won't evaluate whether Bitcoin is valuable or if it's a Ponzi scheme.

The so-called Ponzi scheme usually uses new investors' money to pay interest and short-term returns to old investors, creating a false impression of profitability. Nowadays, many industries and sectors in our country are engaged in fraud. Layers of oil skimming, leaving only the terminal and top-level confused. So when the Internet came out and cut off all the middlemen, it was such a great thing.

Many people look down on content creation and self-media, saying it's not a real industry, and only real industries can prosper a nation. But now, looking at it, this may be the cleanest business.

If you want to start a business, you'll first have to deal with decoration, rent, and platform fees. After that, you'll face fierce competition from "honest and unpretentious" rivals. Internally, you have to guard against partners or employees who might deceive you. It's endless and never-ending. Problems will appear in ways you never imagined, so if you have a choice, don't start a business.

Video#

Chai Jing is also a classic public intellectual. She once wrote "Seeing," believing that "truth has its own power," and she is full of talent. Later, she made a documentary called "Under the Dome" to reflect the problem of air pollution in China. The documentary was criticized for not being objective, and many stories were suspected of being fabricated. It was eventually banned from the internet and faced a nationwide ban. After being banned, her videos have shown a clear bias.

The Zhu Ling case is a high-profile poisoning case that occurred in 1994. The victim, Zhu Ling, was poisoned for a long time until she passed away on December 22, 2023. The real culprit has yet to be found. At that time, the suspect in this case, Sun Wei, engaged in repeated debates with netizens on the Tianya Forum. With Zhu Ling's death, Tianya also filed for bankruptcy protection. This case will ultimately remain an unsolved case.

Usually, just reading the text doesn't have much impact, but in this interview, Chai Jing provides an analysis chart.

The blue represents the thallium content in the hair

Dr. He Min said that each peak can be regarded as a thallium intake, and it can be foreseen that there were as many as 25 thallium intakes, at least 25 poisonings, with one extremely high peak. After returning to the dormitory from the hospital, the increase in thallium was unimaginable. I can't imagine how painful it must have been, and how urgently the poisoner wanted Zhu Ling to die.

The malicious intent of humans can be presented in the form of a graph.
